The PXR Conference has two initiatives, the IBPOC Fellowship and the XRtist Link-Up, both dedicated to fostering accessibility and providing opportunities for IBPOC artists within the extended reality (XR) industry. These programs are thoughtfully designed to empower IBPOC artists and youth by offering them valuable mentorship, resources, and workshops aimed at enhancing their skills and knowledge in XR technology. The overarching objective of these initiatives is to boost their employability and collaborative potential within the emerging XR and live performance medium.

Through these initiatives, our primary aim is to create a community and network of young artists equipped with the necessary tools to create in virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. Additionally, we are committed to building digital infrastructure and promoting digital literacy in remote northern communities. This comprehensive approach underscores our dedication to not only fostering individual talent but also to advancing the XR landscape as a whole, promoting inclusivity, creativity, and technological empowerment.
