PXR2021

PXR Conference, hosted by Single Thread and Electric Company Theatre, is a series of interactive presentations and discussions by Canadian artists and digital content creators on how they are using virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality (collectively known as XR) in the creation of live performance.

We offer an experience that takes advantage of the XR medium. Wherever possible we have chosen to design the conference around the idea of ‘corridor conversation’- running into old friends and making new ones.

PXR 2021 was about how artists can take control of XR and shape its future. We believe we possess a responsibility to advocate for data privacy and user accessibility. How can we make use of this technology without advancing the interests of corporations?

PXR is committed to creating space for IBPOC artists through presentation and fellowship opportunities, as well as representation in the leadership of the conference.
